A bakery order tracker: every cake order and pickup on one calendar

A bakery order tracker should answer one question at a glance: what has to be ready, for whom, and when. Farinu's order calendar puts every order on a month or week view by its pickup day, coloured by status, with new online requests marked as drafts. You set how many of each product you can bake in a day, the days you are closed and how much notice you need, and each day opens into a sheet with what to bake, who is collecting and what balance to collect.

The problem: orders live in five places

A home baker takes orders by WhatsApp, Instagram, a phone call and at the market stall. The date ends up in a chat, the flavour in a voice note and the deposit in a bank app. Two birthday cakes for the same Saturday afternoon look fine until Friday night, when you realise both need the oven at the same time.

A cake order tracker on paper or in a spreadsheet helps, but it does not know your recipes, how many loaves your oven takes or who has paid. That is the gap a bakery order tracker inside your costing app closes.

What the order calendar shows

The calendar is a view on the orders you already keep in Farinu, not a second place to type them. Orders you enter by hand and requests that arrive from your online shop land on it the same way.

Daily limits, closed days and lead time

In the availability settings you tell Farinu how much you can take on. Every rule is optional, and the same rules decide which days customers can pick in your online shop.

The limits are yours to set, not a guess from past weeks. If a day is already full or you are closed, you can still move an order there yourself; the calendar then warns you.

Example: one busy week

Here is an illustrative week for a home bakery, with made-up customers and prices in USD and a daily limit of 4 sourdough loaves. On the calendar Thursday shows Sourdough 4/4 and Full, so your online shop offers sourdough from Friday on, and Saturday's day sheet lists three pickups and $105.00 to collect.

How to schedule bakery orders with the calendar

Set your availability once: the products with a daily limit, the days you are closed and your lead time. Then enter every order in Farinu the day you agree it, with its pickup day, an optional pickup time and the deposit, or let customers send requests from your online shop, then open each one from the calendar to confirm or decline it.

Each morning, open the day sheet: it tells you what to bake, who is collecting at what time and how much to collect. To see the week in the calendar app on your phone, copy your private calendar feed link into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook; it shows each order with the customer and the items, never your costs, and you can reset the link at any time. When you deliver, record the balance so the order closes as paid.

Questions

Can I see my orders in Google Calendar or on my phone?
Yes. Each bakery has a private calendar feed link. Add it to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook and every order that is not cancelled shows as an event at its pickup time, or as an all-day event, with the customer and the items. It is read only, and resetting the link stops the old one.
What happens when a day is full?
Customers cannot pick it in your online shop for that product, and the calendar marks it Full. You can still move an order there yourself from the calendar; Farinu tells you the day is full.
Can my helper see the schedule?
Yes, if they manage orders. They see the calendar, the day sheet and balances to collect, and never costs or margins.
Does it cost extra?
No. The free plan includes the order calendar and a basic online shop, with up to 50 orders a month and costing for up to 10 recipes. Team removes the order limit and adds storefront themes, a banner and your own domain, without the Farinu footer.
