About Farinu and why we build it
Most small bakers price by feel. They count flour and eggs, but not their hours, the oven, the boxes or the rent, so a price that looks fair can leave nothing. Orders arrive by message, at the market and at the door, and keeping track of them is a second job.
Farinu exists to fix both: honest numbers for every recipe, and a simple place to run the week.
What Farinu does today
Everything below is live in the app now.
- Recipe costing with ingredients, packaging, sub-recipes, labour, machines and overhead
- Suggested prices from your target markup, and retail and wholesale price lists
- Margin alerts when an ingredient price rises
- Customers with their WhatsApp number, and one-off orders with deposits and balance payments
- A sales log and a monthly profit and loss
- A production plan and log, purchases and stock
- An AI assistant that imports recipes from a photo, a spreadsheet or a PDF, and an MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT
How we think about your bakery
Your recipes and costs are yours. Helpers you invite can log production and sales, but they never see costs or margins; only the owner does.
We keep the app small on purpose: no feature ships unless it saves a baker time or money, and planned features are labelled as planned until they work.

- Home bakers and micro bakeries that sell cakes, bread, cookies or desserts and want to know their real costs and keep orders in order.
- Is Farinu free?
- The free plan includes costing for up to 10 recipes. The Team plan adds the rest of the app for growing bakeries.
- Can my helpers see what my cakes cost?
- No. Helpers can work with orders, production and sales, but costs and margins are visible only to the owner.
