Custom orders
Order management for bakeries
Every order, deposit and pickup in one place
Take cake and catering orders with deposits, plan production around them, and know which ones are paid.
Orders, deposits and online ordering are free for up to 50 orders a month, and recipe costing for up to 10 recipes. The Team plan removes both limits.

What gets in your way
Orders lost in chats
The details are three hundred messages up, and the pickup is tomorrow morning.
Deposits you can't trace
Who paid a deposit, who paid in full, who still owes the balance? Nobody is sure.
Baking day surprises
Three big orders land on the same Saturday and you find out on Friday night.
How Farinu helps
Customers and orders
Take custom orders with deposits and follow each one from confirmed to delivered and paid.
Production plan and log
See what to bake each day from your orders, and log what came out of the oven.
Sales and monthly profit
Log the day's sales from the counter. Sales, orders, ingredients and fixed costs meet in one monthly report.
A $240 birthday cake, from order to paid
Every order moves through the same steps, and Farinu moves most of them for you as payments and batches come in.
- Order taken three weeks ahead, priced from your shop list
- Confirmed
- Customer pays a $120 deposit
- Deposit paid
- You log the batch on baking day
- In production
- You mark it ready, then delivered
- $120 balance due
- Balance paid at pickup
- Paid, $240 in sales
If the customer cancels, a deposit you keep still counts as income in that month's report.
Questions
- Can I take a deposit?
- Yes. Record a deposit, the balance and any refund on each order. Deposits kept on cancelled orders count as income.
- Do orders feed the production plan?
- Yes. Confirmed orders show up in what to bake each day, and logging the batch moves the order into production.
- How is an order's price set?
- Each line takes its price from the price list you pick for the order, such as shop or wholesale, so the total matches what you quoted.
- Can I refund a customer?
- Yes. Record a refund on a paid or cancelled order, and it counts as negative income in that month's report.
