A bakery AI assistant inside Claude and ChatGPT

Farinu works as a bakery AI assistant in the AI app you already use: connect Claude or ChatGPT to Farinu once, then ask about your recipe costs, margins, orders and stock in plain words, or tell it what you sold at the market. It reads your real bakery data, and nothing changes until you approve it in Farinu.

What a bakery AI assistant connected to your data can do

A general chatbot can explain what a food cost percentage is. It cannot tell you that your carrot cake now earns less because butter went up last week. Farinu gives Claude or ChatGPT the facts it is missing: your recipes, ingredient prices, price lists, customers, orders, sales and production, read live from your bakery.

You ask the way you would ask a friend who knows your numbers. The AI app picks the right Farinu tool, gets the answer, and explains it.

The MCP server for bakeries behind it

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets AI apps such as Claude and ChatGPT use outside tools. Farinu runs a remote MCP server for bakeries: the AI app does the thinking with its own model, and Farinu serves the tools that read and change your bakery data.

Connecting takes a few minutes. The owner turns on AI apps in Farinu's settings and copies the server address. In Claude you add it as a custom connector, in ChatGPT as an app. You sign in to Farinu and approve the connection; there is no API key to paste or keep safe.

The connected app also gets Farinu's ready-made tasks, such as finishing your costs, reviewing prices, planning the week, taking an order from a pasted WhatsApp message, or a short daily brief of orders, stock and margin alerts.

Every change waits for your approval

The AI app can read, but it cannot write on its own. When you ask it to log sales, create an order, record a deposit or update an ingredient price, Farinu stores the change as a proposal and the AI app gives you a link. You open it in Farinu, signed in as yourself, check the details and approve. Until then nothing is saved.

Example: you tell ChatGPT that a customer paid a 40 USD deposit on a 120 USD birthday cake. It finds the order and proposes the payment. You tap the link, see the order, the customer and the amount, and approve. The order then shows 80 USD left to pay.

ChatGPT for bakers, with your rules kept

Connecting an AI app does not open a side door. The same roles apply as in Farinu itself.

The assistant inside Farinu, too

If you would rather not use another app, Farinu has its own AI assistant built in. It can import recipes from a photo or a spreadsheet, answer questions about your costs, and propose the same changes for you to confirm. The MCP server is for bakers who already live in Claude or ChatGPT and want their bakery there too.

Both work best once your recipes are costed. On the free plan you can cost up to 10 recipes; AI apps and the built-in assistant come with Team.

Questions

Which AI apps can I connect to Farinu?
Claude and ChatGPT, through their custom connector or app settings. You connect once with your Farinu sign-in, with no API key.
Can the AI app change my prices or delete data by mistake?
No. Every change is only a proposal until you approve it on Farinu's own page, signed in as yourself. Reading is the only thing the AI app does on its own.
Do my helpers see costs through ChatGPT or Claude?
No. A helper gets only the tools their role allows, so costs, margins and profit stay hidden, exactly as in Farinu.
Which plan do I need?
Connecting AI apps is part of Team. The free plan lets you cost up to 10 recipes so you can set up your bakery first.
Is my bakery data used to train the AI?
Farinu only answers the tool calls you make. How Claude or ChatGPT treats your conversations depends on that app's own settings, so check its data controls.
